Biography: Lorena Ochoa is a Mexican professional golfer. She was the number one ranked female golfer in the world from April 2007 to May 2010. Ochoa is one of the most successful female golfers of all time, having won 27 international tournaments throughout her career.

She started playing golf at the age of five, and quickly rose to prominence, winning the Amateur World Championship at the age of 17. She turned professional in 2002 and soon began to dominate the professional golf circuit.

Ochoa retired in 2010 at the age of 28. Since then, she has become an advocate for women’s sports, established a foundation that provides educational opportunities for children, and been inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame.
