Biography: A Soviet Major General and a prominent Cold War spy, Polyakov revealed Soviet secrets to the CIA under such code names as BOURBON, ROAM and TOPHAT. For 25 years he conveyed information to the West during the Cold War and was called "the jewel in the crown" of spies by CIA Director James Woolsey.

He was eventually sold out by Soviet spies Aldrich Ames and Robert Hanssen and executed.
